Are You Authorized and in Charge or at Large?

Do any of you remember when we would try to get our siblings to do what we wanted by invoking the word of authority to them by saying phrases like: “Father or mother said”.

The word invoke means: to petition for help or appeal to or cite as authority. In Greek: epikaloume; means to appeal or quote.

The reason why I would do this was to make it like I’m in charge. So, by invoking the name of the one in authority, both of us have to give an account. I felt this would cause her to listen to me and do what I said, but in actuality, I was acting in a lie and was acting illegitimately because if the true person of authority was to find out, I would receive punishment that was in accordance with the offense. So, as a so-called Christian, if you haven’t been given the authority by Yeshua, Jesus Christ to operate in His authority as a Christian, then you would be operating as an illegitimate Christian trying to invoke the authority of God on others, as though you have the right under God’s righteousness. Get right before you fight. Even when Yeshua Jesus Christ, who was given all the authority from God the Father, the Pharisees tried to question his authority.

Let’s turn in the Bible to Mark 11: 23-33:

23 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. 27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders, 28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things? 29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me. 31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? 32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. 33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

In this country, they have something called making a citizen’s arrest, but that doesn’t make you a police officer. You can only walk into the office when you have met and been taught the requirements for the office. In other words, just saying you’re a child of God or a Christian, doesn’t make it so. Find the truth and stop living in a subjugated, fake Christian life.

In the Bible reads John 3:5-7:

5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

Also in Acts 2:38-40:

38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”

In my conclusion, read Matthew 28:18-20:

18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Mark 1

The Gospels aren’t just stories for you to read, but blueprints for you to follow. The Gospel of Mark has its own flavor that leads us into the understanding of the Son of God, Jesus the Anointed, promised Messiah.

Mark gives us a picture of the servant-hood of Jesus, doing the acts that were destined for Him from His Father who sent Him.

Throughout this first chapter, we see characteristics of what a servant should be, the importance of being obedient to God, the significance of walking in the authority of the One who sent you. A servant loves their master and the masters wish is their command although in a true and healthy master to servant relationship, the servant has free will.

The Wonderful News

Mark doesn’t start his gospel off with a lengthy introduction but rather goes straight to the heart of what Jesus came to do: bring salvation. This is the wonderful news about Jesus! Mark speaks immediately of John the Baptist who was prophesied to come by Isaiah. John was dressed very simply. He didn’t look like “a prophet,” dressed in the prestigious garb of the day. We can’t determine if someone is qualified by the way they look, and those who came to him to be baptized didn’t judge him as such, but listened with intention to his message and repented of their sins.

The Baptism and Testing of Jesus

Jesus was baptized by John, although not to remove sins, as He was sinless, but as a testament to the death of the flesh, to rely completely on the “Spirit-dove,” that fell upon Him. The Spirit compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness to fast for 40 days to be tested by Satan and He was met by wild beasts but Angels attended to Him. Its a reminder that we will endure trials just as the Son of God did. As soon as we get on the right path to God, Satan rears his head. Yet, God will surround us, even with angelic activity, to protect us.

Satan thought that the Son of God, perceived as a mere human, could easily have been tempted by human, fleshly weaknesses. The desperation of hunger and the desire for power Satan thought he could tempt Jesus on, but Jesus overcame by the Word of God.

Jesus Calls Four Fishermen to Follow Him

Jesus, immediately after His testing, went and taught about the Gospel in the region of Galilee, preaching repentance as access to the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught with authority. Think of a subject you’ve heard taught by two different people. One may have compelled you in a different way the other teacher did not, simply because of the authority and authenticity they carried.

Jesus also immediately called His disciples, Andrew, Simon, James and John. Immediately, they left their fishing endeavors and followed Jesus. How amazing that Jesus, unknown to them, by His very presence and authority would compel these perfect strangers to follow Him.

Jesus Casts out a Demon

Jesus authority was apparent when He taught. His words held such authority that as he spoke, unclean spirits within people listening to Him manifested in fear! It is sad because those who were suppose to fear Him didn’t, but those who you wouldn’t think to fear Him actually do. Jesus simply and shortly silenced these demons. There was no yelling or tarrying when He cast the demons out. They came out quickly. The people were astonished and instead of embracing this truth from Jesus, they constantly questioned it. They didn’t realize to what degree of a false reality they lived in.

Jesus Heals Many

Jesus healing Simon’s mother was very simple. He just touched her and she was healed. His fame spread because of His miracles, casting out demons and healing others. We need to see Jesus and take tips from Him. He was tempted, tried by Satan, over came, and was ministering to others with simple faith in His identity.

Jesus values the secret place of prayer with His Father, for he went away before the sun was even up to be alone. Jesus is always going against the grain of societal norms, having touched an untouchable leper. He had great compassion on his condition that He physically touched him to heal him. Jesus was discreet by telling the leaper not to tell anyone, but His ministry was nothing but discreet because many people flocked around Him.

Sickness is a part of the human condition which entered into our humanity because of the curse of sin. Jesus has come to break the curse of sin by healing everyone who was sick and oppressed by demons.

Jesus preached and healed and performed miracles in tandem. He didn’t do one without the other.

Don’t Let Another Man’s Burden Become Your Test

People have a way of uploading to you their mess. We’ve been allowing people to download mess back and jack us up. The burden of them, what they’re going through becomes our test. Allowing people to put weights upon your life, and then wanting you to deal with it. They dump and dump. Some of us make good dumping grounds. If I dump usually its off of me. But now my burden becomes your test. We have our own to deal with. So if you have some dumping to do, don’t dump it on me. I don’t want the mess you’re in to become my mess. Burden, loads, responsibilities…When you grab a hold of something from someone else, it becomes your responsibility. I don’t want someone else cross to become my burden.

Burden: Greek word is baros meaning load, abundance, authority, weight. Anything pressing on one physical thing.

I understand what you’re going through, but when you take someone else burden it makes a demand on one’s life, spirit, resources, time…most people don’t realize that. When you look at a test. What is a test? Everyone has been to school. When you take a test its a critical examination and evaluation of ones trial. How many have done an evaluation on yourself? Did you find yourself wanting? Lacking? The point is…how often do we admit our failures to ourselves? I have come to the conclusion its a daily battle to exist and a daily war to walk upright before God. Daily. The Bible tells us no one knows what tomorrow will bring. One day you’ll be all together, with inspiration of wisdom, and you think wow, I must be going somewhere. Then the next day, you are miserable and think everyone hates you. The point is that one moment we’re this way, another moment were that way, but we don’t even realize there is a day-to-day life we lead, and live walk and breath. You cannot fix things that moment. You cannot fix things that day or hour or month. Even the world can’t fix problems because it’s not them who are fixers, they are causers.

How many have ever had an evil thought? Think about it, so the negativity in the air is also because of what you thought and did. So, this world is the way it is because of us. We have allowed another man or woman’s burden to become ours and we’ve spread that disease like never before. People use the term, “I hate your guts.” No one’s ever seen your guts, how would you hate someone you’ve never had a gut to gut relationship with? You walk away feeling proud, and then when you walk away you say “why did I say that.” Now you’ve taken over someones problem. Have you ever thought about why you hate an individual? Because it didn’t meet a personal need or physical awareness, because they kept you from being fulfilled by a thing. So you traded your love for hate. How could you love one moment and hate the next? Sometimes we don’t even have to say we hate, we just live a life of hate toward that individual. How many are carrying others burdens right now? How many are in a test today? Did you create that test?

When you look at a test scenario, evaluation of yourself, a lot of times we get mad at a person because it’s expressing who we are. We’ve painted a picture of us being something different, but the truth comes out of what we really are. When our mind has told us that we are what we made ourselves out to be, then we get mad at the person calling us out. Then we inspire others to see our point of view. When we set a trap for ourselves, the Lord tells us to love everyone. But Lord I can’t love someone who treated me bad, talked about me, stabbed me in the back, called me names…sometimes we’ll reap things we’ve done from a long time ago… thought we got away with it, when the Lord says He has a time for us. Then we don’t understand and say “Lord why me? I’m the one that loves You.” As you define love and relationship in your life, what are the elements you use to define love?

How many forgive people? The sort of prayer that says “Lord I forgive them for what they’ve done and what they’re doing.” When you allow the hardship and burden of someone else to become your difficult state, then they become a detriment to yourself. You may not have said it out loud, but you may have acted like it. Its like this…you speak things into existence. Out of your mouth you condementh yourself. And that is just after you sang “I could sing of your love forever.” When you come into the house of God, I don’t want you to leave the same way you came. Most come jacked up, broken, confused, and then whats next? Did I speak about trials earlier…if you didn’t get it right the first time…you’re going to repeat it. And it doesn’t come on a time schedule. It comes when you are doing everything you like under the sun. Weigh it before you say it. Before things come out your mouth out of hatred, anger, lust, even love, make sure you weigh it against the heart and mind of God. Don’t say anything out your mouth that hasn’t been checked. The words that come out of your mouth vibrate. Everything has a vibration to it and it is stored in objects. If you take the test of someone else upon yourself when no one asks you to, then if they get an F, you get an F. Don’t get mad when the result is not positive toward you. Don’t get upset and say “Lord that wasn’t my test it was their test.” The Lord will look at you and say “were you in agreement with them or did you entertain it?” Your test is your test. So if someone is in a test, say I don’t want your test. Your test is a mess. If you aren’t able to bear it, or go through your own personal test, how will you bear it? Another man’s burden will not be mine.

Galatians 6:1-18

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand. As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

Don’t call someone out of their name, or say you hate their guts or say you can’t stand them. “Galatians 6:5 For every man shall bear his own burden.” “Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” When it says this, it doesn’t mean bear another persons sin. Your walk is your walk. If I see another person going through, I will help, but I won’t bear it. How do you help? By praying that God’s will be done in his life, not to grab it and try to work a will, but to pray that God’s will be done. So if you take on another persons burden in another way other than prayer, it becomes your test, and it’s not what God has given you. Now, you’re bearing another’s burden through prayer because its your brother/sister, don’t get involved. We get sick, they get well and we’re still sick. Don’t hold onto some else’s burden because if they go down hill, so will you.

Jonah was given a command to go to Nineva to preach to the heathen man. The Lord said that if he preached to them, they would repent. He instead took his burden to a great fish. He said swallow me! If you do then I don’t have to say what He has to do. You’d rather be swallowed by a big fish than to do what the Lord told you to do, then you deserve everything coming to you. But the Lord didn’t let that happen. So the fish spat him out. He made a 2 weeks journey in 2 days, and did what God told him. When someone is disobedient to God, don’t be around them, run. When a grenade goes off, does it make distinctions about whom it will blow up? No it blows up everything. So if God is after someone because of their disobedience and you are associated with them, you will take the burden too. Rather you should pray that God deals with them, that God delivers them from themselves.

Why do we go through for someone else’s mess? I want to go through my own trials, because its something I didn’t get right. I don’t want you to go through for me because I won’t get the point. I won’t get it if I don’t go through because the Lord takes us through to make us, not to break us. You can’t go through what another person goes through because God is dealing with them individually. You have to realize you help people better by allowing God to take them through. God is trying to let us know He wants to make us.

Do You Just like to Repeat or Do you Need to be Set Free, Part 1

How many times did you fall for the same type of man or woman and saw it coming? Wait for it. They say I love you you go…wait for it…wait for it….and then boom after you say it and you’re locked and you’re back to the same problem you had in your previous relationship. You start seeing the same type of girl or guy. Then you start saying the same things over again: “That man or that woman is no good, there is no good in them.” Were they really or is it just you? Being locked back in the same things of the past recurring in your mind and life. Lets go a little deeper.

When Jesus said forgive your brother, forgive your sister…and you asked Him why? You asked God why. Our hearts fall immediately back to what they’ve done to us. So now, there’s a time going on. Now you have frozen time to take time out to go back in the past of an event that happened years ago, bringing it from the past to the present. You stopped God working on you so you can take Him back to the past, so He could see what was bothering you…what was said that was bothering you. You put God on pause, and take Him back, so that we can do what? Reminisce, complain; when Jesus said just to forgive your brother. Could it be something else more than what they did that you are latching to that your are reminiscing over? Could it be something that is in you; something that has locked itself in you that you cannot get over? Is it that little thing that sits in the corner of your mind that tells you, “They owe you…until they fix that little thing, I cannot see anything.” You can’t get over that past. You must remember, those who continue to live in their past it will become your future.

People are doing the exact same things over and over again falling for the same statement, phrase an action over and over again. Could it be a generational curse, or could it be that you don’t know how to let go? “Well I’m like this because it was my momma, it was my daddy. I treat you the way I treat you because they did not treat me right. Its your fault that I’m smacking this person to death.” But its not their fault. Its the sin in me that makes me do the things in me, its the sin in me. They don’t understand that the God in you wouldn’t make you do what you do to your sister, mother, friend, father….its not the God in you, its the sin in you. Do you like to repeat? We always get upset with ourselves, some of us like to abuse ourselves because we can’t get over us, not remembering that we’re stronger than the thing, smarter than the thing, not remembering that it was things that happened in the past. Now our past has become our future. That is why we fall for the same old antics and statements, gimmicks and movements over and over again, because the first time it happened we didn’t get it straight and forgive ourselves.

Do you know why its so important for a woman to wait until she gets married before sleeping with anyone? When she does, what’s in her, she shares her soul. It’s when you have relations when he injects inside of you a seed of life, your body responds with an egg. Every egg that comes out of your body needs to be fertilized, and given an identity. So its in there floating around looking for “who shall I be?” When God places a soul in that body, that soul becomes a living breathing creature that exists because of the Will of God, not man. So that woman begins to nurture that seed that has been given to her by that man. A woman’s egg is just like a chicken’s egg which has no life. Once that one little sperm gets inside of the egg, it locks the door, turning the egg into a hard shell that the sperm inside has the only key to. That woman is to keep herself wholly until God has sent her a man. It’s he who finds himself a wife finds a good thing. But the wife has be ready to receive the identity. You don’t go shooting your junk everywhere, hoping that it lands somewhere. You don’t shoot your seed at anything, because you’ll get what you ask for. A man putting his identity out is like putting your seal of who you are on just anything. Young men think that because they can flip it out and flip it right, that makes you a man. No, that makes you stupid. Every woman’s womb is not for every man. That is telling me that my sperm is sacred. Your egg is sacred.

Men are told in the back of their minds that’s what you do, you put your seed in anything. As a man’s seed enters the egg, it releases life and that more abundantly, releases identity, becoming a DNA increaser, forming life; an identity. At that moment that woman’s body becomes that man’s body. She can’t live without him. She might not say it, but she shows it. That man is not sealed, a man puts it out, a woman receives it. She changes chemically to receive it. He doesn’t have any connection to her chemically, but she has connection to him chemically. That is why some women can never get along with any other man except the one that…no matter how he treated her. The man has no chemical connection, just a physical one, that is why its so easy for him to release freely with another woman. He’s selling himself for free, not realizing that he’s giving his identity away to something he has no connection with. She feels that he loves her enough to release his seed inside of her, and to be bound to her. If he’s not bound to you mentally, he’s not bound to you physically. That is why when a man lies with a woman he’s not planning on being with, he will rarely look her in the eye or kiss her, but do everything below the neckline. The gateway to the soul is the eyes, that is why he does not look at her. He wants to release his seed for a moment of pleasure, for a feeling, she releases herself for a connection. That is why she takes it hard when he walks out the door. Its serious.

That is the reason that we can’t do what the Lord wants us to because we have holes inside of us. The Lord wants you fully, so when He releases the Holy Ghost inside of you, it changes…just as though that man who releases inside of you created in you an identity, Christ is trying to create an identity in you of Him. This is the problem. We repeat the things we do in life with relationship because we have not yet come into the understanding that we’re more than conquers. A woman’s body and eggs are all precious even though they have not life. You have an egg that stays warm and moist and ready. When you go through your cycle, it goes “ain’t no good.” During your cycle, you spew unwanted eggs and are tossed away. When a man does not ejaculate, his body absorbs the life back inside, he keeps it. A man does not have a cycle, because he keeps his identity.

Most men are not aware that they bring life to the relationship. That is why a woman can’t have a relationship with another woman, because she does not bring life. Its like rubbing two eggs together; do you get another egg? No. A man is not even aware of the authority and power in his loins. It’s about releasing in you a woman who is an incubator, a provider of the eggs. When her body chemically changes, before a woman has sexual intercourse with a man her body smells like roses. After she has been intimate with that man, his chemicals are mixing with his chemicals. And now she does not smell like a beautiful bouquet of roses. That is why they do foreplay, to try to get her to accept whatever he is try to do. Her body says he is chemically like this. It is the same way when God releases the Holy Ghost inside of you. It changes you. Satan can’t get in anymore like he use to. So Satan says he has to find another way in. The Lord has changed the combination, I can’t get in. Let me go back in the past, when you use to love this, so Satan goes “Let me do this…” So he brings people from your past that your bound by, and they come into your life straight forward saying “Do you remember what we use to do?” To insight in you a feeling, and you go back to that moment when that situation happened. Satan can’t get in to you like he use to, so he wants you to repeat; he doesn’t want you to be free. So you prepare yourself to receive what he has for you. Isn’t this what we do with God? Jesus has everything that we need. But we can’t get with Jesus because we keep comparing what He has to what Satan is doing. We can’t build a good relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus because we still concern with what Satan did to us, enjoy it, bask in it. But the Lord says be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Romans 7:20-25

Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

What is it saying? Do you like to repeat or do you want to be free? What are generational curses? What we just read. You know my sister Barbra, she does the same things. She’ll listen to the guy, and then she’ll sleep with him after 2 minutes. After you’ve slept with so many of them, you’ll never get the one who is for you because all the rest of them have put so many codes on your butt, that nobody can get in. The right one has to break the 1st code, the next code, and so on. The hardest one you have to break is the 1st one.

Juanita Bynum wrote a book called “No More Sheets.” She said she had so many men back and forth in her bed, she didn’t know whether she was coming or going. If the guy that comes after you who really loves you is not a locksmith, he won’t get anything, but the remnants of all those other guys, not the real you. You’ll say, “he doesn’t understand me,” no because you’re locked up. Why is it so important that you don’t randomly sleep with guys? Because they can lock your soul up so much that you can’t even reach Christ. Jesus doesn’t care if you’ve had 100 guys, if you ask “Lord make me whole again,” He will make you fresh and clean to have the right person. He flushes all that mess out of you, and now your head is straight. When you see a guy you might fall in love with, he’ll look at your differently and say “she is fresh.” When you get together, it will be like the very first time. The point is, He will make you new again. While you are in your new state, look upon Me I am your husband now, I’m your friend, confidant and companion. When someone is good enough to get My girl, I’ll release her to him because I already know that she is fresh, and she has the Holy Ghost who is leading and guiding her. For a woman if the inside is not clean, ain’t nothing gonna happen down below in the oven. Satan knows that. That is because he goes after the woman on the inside, mentally, and on the outside physically with men.

Matthew 15:11

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

There is nothing goes into a womb-man that defiles her, it’s what comes out of the womb-man that defiles her. Because out of the mouth flows the abundance of the heart. So if I eat cucumbers and candies and oranges and grapes and bananas, that won’t defile me. It is whatever I put into my soul that will defile me. So when that man has slept with you and placed part of his soul in you, its going to come out of your mouth. Women if you haven’t known a man, don’t. If you’ve known a man and God has made you new, don’t go back again. God will send you a man. I don’t care how the urges come, don’t put yourself in that situation to cause an urge. Make sure you fall in love with Jesus first before you get into a relationship. God wants us to understand that once He has you, and allows you to keep you, He won’t let anyone come into your life again who will destroy your physiology and lock everyone else out, except those demons that locked themselves in. Wait on the Lord. If you wait on Him, when He gives you that person, it won’t be buttercups and lollipops all the time, you will have stormy days. That is because two are trying to become one. So you ride the storm. We just have to understand that we must not worry about when he is coming but worry how God is going to meet us next.

It’s an awesome thing to wait. The Lord never forgets. Otherwise you’re bound to repeat over and over again.

Breaking Spiritual Strongholds Part 3

How To Break Strongholds and Keep Them Broken

Sometimes, we don’t know we have a spiritual stronghold. Here are 6 ways to combat these strongholds to press on.

1) Authority

Mark 3:27: No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
The Name of the Savior Jesus has authority. His very name will expel the Devil’s influence.
2) Intercession
Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
In this chapter of Matthew, the disciples could not cast out a demon that caused a certain man’s son to harm himself, by falling into fire, and falling into water. Jesus said that they were a “faithless and perverse generation…” (Matthew 17:17). Jesus then rebuked the devil and it left the child. The disciples asked why they could not cast the demon out, and Jesus said that prayer and fasting were required for such situations.
We too, need to be fasting and praying to intercede on behalf of others and to break down spiritual strongholds.
3) Displacement
2 Corinthians 6:14: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Separate yourself from anything that is not like God. Establish the presence of God, where Satan has been commanded to leave. Anoint the doorpost of your home, sanctifying your space in the workplace. It is as though you are establishing a base or stronghold, to keep Satan away. If you resist the devil he will flee. Fill it up with Gods presence, singing songs in the Spirit, praying in the spirit, quoting scripture. Where the presence of the Lord is, the devil can’t stay. The presence of the Lord displaces the Devil.
4) Resistance
James 4:7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Submit yourself and draw closer to God. If you resist the devil he will flee. He is repelled by the Word of the Father being spoken in the atmosphere. The devil runs from submitted, yielding Christians. Submit to God, and the devil will flee. The more your trials get heavy, the more you should draw toward the Father.
5) Occupation
Ephesians 4:27:Neither give place to the devil.
Give no place or vacancy to the devil. We have to give ourselves over to God, and allow not the devil to get into any aspect of our lives. How do we do that? “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection” (1 Corinthians 9:27). We may have old habits that we may not have put under subjection and it’s easy to fall back into the habits of the old man. This way Satan can not break through your spiritual armor.
6) Fortification
Galatians 5:19-21 describes the things that are places of refuge which Satan to lodge himself in our lives. There are degrees of intensities in all of these wicked things. So we should put on the whole armor of God. Take up our daily prayer or reading. Take upon ourselves the full array of spiritual gifts to be armed against spiritual wickedness. Ephesians 6:11-17

If we stay mindful of the Word of God we’ve been given, we will overcome Spiritual strongholds. Jesus has made you the head and not the tail. Satan does not care about your attitude, you emotional well being, or whether or not you love the father, he will still attack you. Be on guard, in Jesus name.
