Going Through Trials and Spiritual Warfare

If you’re going through any situation and it seems like there is no end or any answers, just remember the Lord Yeshua will not put no more on you than you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). And if we have the understanding and faith in that, then we must know that He is making us in His perfect will. And what is that will? That is to be like Yeshua. What greater faith, love and confidence does the Lord have in us to make us just like Him.

A blacksmith works on raw steel, heating, beating, and heating and beating, over and over again and again, only to become a hardened metal sword that has been tried by fire; only to be used in the army of the Lord, cutting and ripping down every stronghold and every place that may give refuge to Satan and his fallen ones. Now think! If we are going through trials and spiritual warfare, He knows that we can bear it. But He will not put no thing on you that will cause you to sin!

So that means you can have the confidence, faith and determination to see to the end because He already saw your victory! You are to become that hardened sword, that tried-by-fire sword, that light, that city that sitteth on a hill, that light that shines in darkness and the darkness can’t comprehend it. The love of God, the grace, faith, the voice, the move, the fullness of God on earth, in a world that contains emptiness. The hope for people who have lost their dreams. The answer for those who have lost direction.

Now that we know that the Lord is forging us through the fire of trials and spiritual warfare, then why stand here crying, moping, with that Johnny can you spare a dime mentality? Gird yourself up. Pick yourself up, dust off and begin to wield your spiritual sword and to be all you can in Yeshua’s army, and with these 7 words on your lips, “IN YESHUA’S NAME THE VICTORY IS OURS!”

Read 1 Peter 4:12-19:

12 “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.”

Always remember:

  1. Who shall separate us from the love of God! (Romans 8:35)
  2. We shall judge this world and angels (1 Corinthians 6:1-6)
  3. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world! (1 John 4:4)
  4. No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17)

Other Scriptures:

  • Philippians 1:29 – “For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.”
  • Revelation 3:20 – “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
  • Galatians 5:1 – “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
  • Ephesians 6:11-14 – Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;”

Who or What Means More in Your Life?

Have you heard the phrase, “How low can you go?” Well, in this world today, men, women and kids are lowering themselves – in fact, there’s nothing they won’t do to obtain views in life, or online. And this is all for the sake of monetization, being popular, being famous, and looking for love – which is another sermon for a later date. People are willing to accept a lie as the truth in order to be loved and accepted. They will turn on a friend in order to please others.

In the Bible read 2 Timothy 3:1-8:

1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.”

Also in Isaiah 5:20-23:

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: 23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

In these perilous times men and women welcome the illogical things of yesterday as things of logic today. What has happened to the church today? They’re scared to speak up or are afraid that their social media popularity will drop, they will lose followers, and their monetization will fall. That leads to the question, who or what means more in your life? Christ Yeshua, or the cash, popular vote and social media acceptance? Instead of worrying how you rate online, you should be concerned with how you rate before Yeshua’s face.

Matthew 6:20-24:

20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

In my conclusion I’ll leave you with this, Romans 1:18-32:

18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”

Redeemed for His Glory’s Sake

Isaiah 53:1-8

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.”

Even though He was tortured, accused, abused, mistreated and beaten, through all of that, the only thing that was on His mind was us. His ways are not like our ways. When we look at a situation and say, “Lord, why has this not ended yet, why don’t you cut this person off because they’ve mistreated me, I’ve been treated so badly, Lord smite them with disease and pestilence.” We say that in our heart, but the Lord wants us to know this one thing: we look at things one dimensionally, and that dimension is present tense. The Lord not only looks at the present, He looks at the future – the effect in 3D concerning everyone involved and what will be the repercussion in the future.

We can only see in 1D. He looks at the 3rd and 4th dimensions of requests that we make upon Him. He looks at what will happen from this generation to that generation. Will it benefit His glory or your temporary emotion?

God doesn’t just do things selfishly for an individual, it has a bearing, and an effect on others. So He will make sure that the conclusion He comes to will meet His glory, not your selfish unrighteousness. When you look at a certain situation that has transpired in your life, you look at it one way, “what will give me immediate gratification or revenge?” Making us satisfied – whereas Christ looks at it far beyond that. Because what we may say will affect someone else who may be used for His glory in the future. He has to make sure it won’t affect anything, if it does, it will result in meeting the cry of His saint as well as meeting the needs of the future saints or plans.

As Spock from Star Trek says, “the cries of the many outway the needs of the few.” We have to learn to stop dealing with a situation or asking for something from Yeshua in a 1D mind. We have to ask for things that basically are not going to cause someone else to falter. That is why we must say, “Lord if it’s thy will let it be.” We have to make sure that it’s not about us, it’s about Him. That is why it said in the scripture: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:3). Can we say redeemed for His glory?

Isaiah 55:1-11

“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. 4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. 5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

We think in 1D, Christ thinks in 3D. He is looking and understanding the result of what is done. That is why He died upon the cross. He told you that He was dying for us, for the generations to come, those that you don’t understand. His thoughts are not like our thoughts nor His ways. He says that over again because when we make a determination about things, it’s about quick gratification for ourselves, but He looks at the present tense, future, what generation it will affect, will it cause trouble, way before you’ve ever got the thought out yourself.

He will not do something that will cause danger, but will bring Him glory. Yeshua says that what He says has to be final. It has to meet the requirements of all that He sees. When He makes a statement, He makes a statement that spans all time. When He makes a judgement, He makes a judgement that spans all time. We only make a judgement that meets our immediate desire, immediate gratification. In other words, we’re selfish. We only care about us, because the only thing we see is us. Thank God for the grace of God, because His mercy endures forever.

How many times have you made a determination, not worrying about the effect later on? We’ve done this without thinking about the consequences of the the future. This will immediately shut down our minds so we will feel the immediate need taken care of. The repercussions of our actions could cause someone to never know who God is, could cause someone or some family to never know the love of God. Have you ever thought about that? That’s why it’s so important that we say, “if it be Your will Lord.”

Isaiah 55:12

“For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”

Know this, if you don’t want to do something that is out of the will of God, make sure that you ask, “Lord if it’s thy will.” Understand that if God doesn’t get the glory, then who does? Remember, we are redeemed for His glory’s sake, in Yeshua’s Name.

What is Your True Face?

I believe everything started with us humans as infants, where the first facial change came with our first introduction to pain that caused the facial change – and most of us know that it wasn’t beautiful.  All newborn babies deal with making the ugly face, and the first quote that comes from most fathers in the world is, “that child is ugly” quietly to themselves. But that’s not what the mothers say. Even to this day as teens and adults we make some of the same faces from when we were kids. But even today there are 6 main faces that have never changed, and those faces are:

  1. Happiness
  2. Anger
  3. Deceit
  4. Love
  5. Lying
  6. Sadness

Those faces are an inward emotion with an outward display. So, our outward expression reveals to others our excitement or our disdain concerning an issue. The Lord Yeshua looks down on his creation in Psalm 33:13-15:

13  “The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. 14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.”

And in John 4:23-24:

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Even when we communicate with each other, we really can’t hide our mental motive from Yeshua, and we can’t conceal the intent from Yeshua. Now, as we live a life after being baptized in Yeshua’s name, we have to be mindful that we can live no more a worldly form of Christendom, where you put on the outward appearance but there’s no true commitment.

The Bible reads in 2 Timothy 3:1-9:

1“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was.”

We all who are calling ourselves true Christians have to put away all of the fake worldly Christendom, and denounce it before Yeshua in order to become a true child of God.

In my conclusion, change from the worldly Christians to the real Christians, and seek Yeshua while he may be found. Let this world go and it will be the best thing you will ever have done in your life.

And it is so!

Sermon by Pastor Tony Catron

Is Bread Enough for You?

Does anyone remember when you were so hungry that you ate a slice of bread, or you were so hungry that you ate an air-wich? Some of you may ask, what’s an air-wich? Well, it’s two slices of bread placed together. You may say that you’ve never had that, but if you ever go through any hard time you would know what I mean. You will eat that air-wich like it had meat between those slices of bread. But after eating that bread, you found out that it wasn’t enough, because now your body craves water afterward.

As you can see, the bread wasn’t enough, it just serviced for a short time. So when you compare this to your soul, it needs to be fed as well. So what type of food are you feeding your soul – nourishment or junk food? You may ask, what is junk food for the soul? Well, that would be anything that is contradictory to the bread of life, and that bread of life is found in John 6:22-59:

22 “The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone; 23 (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) 24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. 25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? 26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. 27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. 28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. 30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. 32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. 36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. 37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven? 43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. 48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever. 59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.”

We need to understand that Yeshua is the only source of all mankind, and His Word, and will for us is nourishment to our soul and bones.

John 4:31-34:

31 “In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. 32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

In my conclusion remember Matthew 4:4:

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
