Hello, Hello, Why Can’t You Hear Me?

In this time and season in most people lives, they are being bombarded with so many distractions, let alone with all types of doctrines and religious beliefs system, that the average person doesn’t know who or what to believe. One must always remember this: in a multitude of words, the truth is hidden. So it’s up to the individual to dig up and evaluate the validity of the multitude of words.

In this generation, it appears that men have taken a turn for the worse. It seems as though they have taken understanding for ignorance. There’s a phase that people use today and that is “ignorance is bliss.” This seems to be the going norm for some. In our world today its like telling somebody I can’t be held accountable for my actions. This way of addressing personal problems whether mental or emotional, can cause others to be mislead.

In our society today, individuals don’t want to be told what to do or even how to do it. They will say something like, “Who do you think you’re talking to?” They’ll also follow with these statements:

  1. Your not my mother or father
  2. Don’t talk to me
  3. You don’t tell me to do “@#$%&!%” thing
  4. Kiss my White, Asian, Black a”@#”
  5. Then they will try to walk up on you to fight

This is why today’s society has failed. Everybody knows it all. People are quick to give you opinions, attitudes, and arguments. They just don’t want to hear reason or get an understanding about anything. This leads you to the reason why people in this world don’t want hear the voice of Jesus Christ, the truth in the Bible nor those individuals that represent Jesus Christ. So when Christ begins to knock at your heart, nine times out of ten you won’t recognized His voice. That’s why when Jesus calls your name or tries to get your attention, take notice.

14 Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. 15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. 16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. 17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? 18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember? 19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

Mark 8:14-19

People of God, we miss out on a lot of blessings from God, from our lack of trusting Jesus, and that He has everything under His authority, even when we fall short. Remember, He never fails.

21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: 22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? 23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. 24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. 25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

Jeremiah 5:21-25

As people of the most high, we’ve got to put our trust in Jesus authority and understanding.

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Take this with you; feel a pull on your heart to come to Jesus. Don’t ignore that feeling and don’t push it aside. Hebrews 3:15 says, while it is said, to day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. It is so in Jesus name!

Delivered but Not Free

What does it mean to be delivered? When used as a verb, delivered means to set free or liberate, also to release or save. In John 8:36 it says, if the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

So you might ask the question, if the Word of God declares whom the Son sets free they are free, why do most Christians seem to be so bound? Well, in order to be delivered, you must first be willing to let go of every connection to your old life that is contrary to Jesus Christ of your own free will. Romans 12:2 says be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

That means you need to bring your own body to subjection. Which entails the people you were involved with in the world, whether friend or family, you just can’t be as close as you where. Why you may ask? Well just think. They knew you when you were in the same frame of mind as they are. So as you might have already figured out, the conversations and mind sets would not be conducive to your renewal and transformation of your new way of thinking. Besides, you’re in a process of transition from the old man or old woman to a new way of talking, walking, thinking and living.

The next thing is a saying that is common among the real estate market. Everything is based upon location, location and location when buying a home. Questions are raised about what’s in that area, whether its a good or bad neighborhood, what the resale value of the home would be, what the taxes are like, and many other factors. Well, this is somewhat the same when you start your transition in the life of a true child of Jesus Christ. The places you use to go to; some people call this their old stumping ground. You must remember these are the locations where memories of events happened. So it may not be a good thing for you to go back to those old locations anymore, because all the emotional memories might cause you to have a set back in your transition of having your mind being renewed.

The last, but very important thing is who do you associate with? Like the old saying goes, “it’s the company you keep.” Not letting go of some of the people you have in your life has been one of the major reasons your new life in Jesus Christ has met with a lot of falls or stumbling blocks in your walk. Not to mention emotional discouragement and frustration, plus loss of focus in your walk in Jesus Christ. So until all these distractions in your walk have come under Godly control, it’s better that you stay clear of the pitfalls you know of from the past.

26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Luke 14:26-30

You must remember talk is cheap. To walk costs you a lot but the rewards are great. So lets not just talk it out but walk it out. The reason a lot of Christians are still bound today is because they’re in some ways like Lot’s wife who looked back to bondage instead of looking in front at deliverance. She looked back at what could have been. Even in the Church today so called Christians are reminiscing over what they wish they would or could have done in their lives.

16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:16-19

You have to have a sound mind about this in you heart. There is no looking back.

Philippians 3:8-21
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. 16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. 17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself

Philippians 3:8-21

If People Are Being Tossed to and Fro by Every Wind, What Wind Is in Your Sails?

This topic brings to mind a sail ship with massive sails moving across the open sea, the massive sails catching the wind as the ship is being carried about over the sea by the wind. Sailors have even given the winds their own name, hence the term trade-wind. Sometimes these winds can be very strong and can carry the ship the way they’re blowing.

In some ways I can’t help but compare this to all the people in the world today who are claiming to be Christian but their walk does not typify the life of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While many people are claiming to be a Child of the King, why is it that all of these so called Christians don’t speak the same things or live the same way? They don’t read the same Bible or the Word of God, but they say that they are of the same belief. This alone to me seems to be an oxymoron.

The average so called Christians today are some of the most prideful, arrogant, self-absorbed, greedy, not helping the needy, condemning individuals in the world today. Yet none of the characteristic that they display are of the attributes of Jesus Christ at all. Jesus describes what a Christian should be like, not pretend to be. We are supposed to be examples for the world like Christ was. In the Bible He wants us all to be the same.

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:10

Its sad to say that the portrait that most of these so called Christians are painting exhibits who they really serve: their father Satan the liar. If your life is a lie and you are a pretender or perpetrating a life of someone or thing, then your life is a lie. Jesus said no liar will tarry in His sight.

He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

Psalms 101:77

Jesus also said the all liars will have their part in the lake of fire. These are the type of people who are easily deceived by this world or by every favorable word or doctrine. Just like that sail that is fill by strong wind, they become tossed all about. You need to ask yourself, “what wind is in your sails?”

For the real Christian or Child of God, in the book of Ephesians 4:14 it reads: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

We should know better and know our Lord and Savior’s voice and obey it. In my conclusion, I’ll leave you with James 1:1-27.

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: 10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. 11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:1-27

In Jesus name, it is So.

Who Do Men Say You Are?

In this world today, most people want to be seen and recognized by someone, or individuals they are close to, to appear as someone who is mysterious, interesting, fun, loving or faithful. We would do almost anything that we think may grip the attention of others so they’ll notice us or at the very least look in our direction. It is as though we were some colorful birds of Africa trying to attract the attentions of the opposite sex for mating. This will is so strong that we would even go out of our character to be looked upon as a person everyone wants to be around or connected to. Why is the need to be connected so prevalent? Well, the truth of the matter is that there is built in every human being the need to be seen by their Creator; understood by their Creator. Like a child to their parents which needs to be accepted by them, looking for their love and pride; that is why human beings tend to be drawn to people with power or the “right stuff.” Some form or another, we’ll do anything to be associated with them, or power, money, or all three.

This is really serious because we find ourselves even in the Church being drawn to that magnetic personality of the Pastor or the Elder who is ministering. We want them to see us. We’re the ones that shout the loudest “hallelujah,” so that leaders can recognize us, especially if he is a Prophet so he can prophecy on our life. Even on our jobs we say we want to keep a low profile, but we really want to be seen and recognized for the work we’ve done. We want to be seen, heard and recognized. We as the real Saints of the One true God, you know the One that was crucified, non other than Jesus Christ of Nazareth, say we want to be connected to Him, we want to be around Him, were attracted to Him, but we don’t walk like it or live like it. Satan thought he’d caught Christ getting Him on the cross and crucified. Little did Satan know that Jesus was God in flesh, that Jesus was fulfilling prophecy. Had Satan known, he would not have caused Christ to be crucified. We know today that Jesus was God in the flesh. As Saints, we understand that John 1:1 says in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. Then that Word became flesh and lived among us. We beheld Him as the only begotten Son of God. He couldn’t be “God” in His natural form, because we can’t perceive or look at that because no sin can bask in His presence and live. He couldn’t come down as God to us, so He had to choose a form that created the 1st sin—the flesh. He came down as the One and only living God. That is why He had to be had by a virgin. He couldn’t come through a woman who’d seen other men, because that flesh would have been tainted with the sins of someone else. He came through a woman who knew no man. It wasn’t that she was special. He could have come through any woman who knew no man, but He came through Mary because she was of the line of David, the scriptures prophesying that He would come down through the line of David. Most people beheld Christ as just a baby, because they saw Him come from the womb of a fleshly woman, not realizing that He had to be born of a woman, just like men are brought forth in childbirth, so that He could hold sin captive in that flesh. He came into sinful flesh, because the flesh sins, and knows no good. He came down to take that stigmatize out of the flesh, because He knew no sin throughout His whole walk. He walked in His walk of righteousness, to prepare Him for what He would do at the end. Christ gave His life for us, because Adam and Eve made that great mistake when they sinned in the garden, being told not to do something they ought not do. That sounds like saints in Church today. Don’t do this, but they do it anyhow. It’s amazing how people use their own minds to manipulate what God has said to do. Satan knew that Jesus was God in flesh. He sought every opportunity to confuse, confront, and divert Christ in His mission to die for men’s sins. He saw God in the form of flesh, and He knew that God would not reach out of His flesh, and save Himself, when He’d already come to die for the sinful flesh. Satan knew God well enough that when He says He’ll do something, He won’t interfere with it. Its the same way in our lives. God won’t interfere in our lives unless we ask Him to. If we ask Him to, He’ll see whether its good for us to go through. We may need to learn a lesson from that task. Christ knows who you are and what you need for your growth in your walk. When you’re strong willed about who your God is, Satan can do nothing to deter you. It’s when we have doubts about our salvation that Satan creeps in with an unholy doctrine or a misunderstanding of the Word of God. We still want to give our love, time, reverence and obedience to Satan through sin. If you sin, you’re doing what he wants you to do. You give sin your love, time, reverence and your obedience. We’re obedient to sin. Didn’t you know your being obedient to Satan? What is sin? An immoral act against God.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21

Who do men say you are? You’ll find out who you are if these thing are named among you? Are you a Child of God or are you walking in vain? Lean not to your own understanding because we have been inundated with half truths, that it is sometimes hard to know which way to go or what to choose. But if you want to know the truth look for it at the foundational beginnings of the written word of God with an open, sincere heart and mind. As you draw closer to the truth, you will draw closer to the real One and only true God who became flesh and dwelt among us, in the person of Jesus Christ. He came to correct the sin that was committed by Adam and Eve, by dying for our sins on the cross that we could be with Him forevermore. Please don’t allow any person or words of people to keep you from going home. We are so drawn to people who are popular, wealthy or good looking. Why do you think the basketball stars, football and hockey players are so sought after? We look to see someone whom we can associate with, because we like what they’ve done, and want to be like them. Looks are not all they seem. You think you have a wonderful rose, then you find out that its a carnation with a lot of thrones on it. That is why we get carried away over soap operas, reality shows; we look up to those individuals because we aspire to be like them. We see the different shows, and entertainers that come out, musicians and others in their area of expertise. We can’t sing but we sure wish we could sing like them. We buy their albums and we just don’t support them, but we support their lifestyle even if they are Satan worshipers. We’ll spend $40, $50 up to $100 for a football ticked, but we’ll say we won’t give our money to anyone in the Church because all they’ll do is get rich from me. But where is the money going you gave to the sports arena? The owners keep it and give some to the players.

We’re so lost in our way of thinking. But when something goes wrong, because you gave $5 in an offering 10 years ago in a Church, you think that is still suppose to carry on to help pay for the burial expenses of a relative who died. When the Pastor speaks questionably, then we get defensive. Its not the point of letting the relative be buried, but when they want you to bury their folk, they want you to put on the burial, wake and repass, and supply everything. They look at you and say they gave money. They want you to go out of your way to do everything, and you don’t know what has happened in the life of that person. They want you to make up a lie to put that relative in heaven, and foot the bill for her burial. But you didn’t give anything.

We have to realize that just because a person cries “Lord, Lord, I’m Your child, have I not done all these wonderful things in Your name? I’ve prayed and I’ve done this.” But you had your own form of truth and were self-righteous. That is why a lot of people will be fooled, and if you miss out on the rapture, that is it, there is no second chance. If you try to its too late. We don’t see that. People can only see the here and now, where they are enjoying themselves now. They don’t want to go to a Church where they tell them they are doing wrong. We have to walk up right, circumspectly with the mind of God.

22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. 24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. 25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. 26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town. 27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? 28 And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets. 29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. 30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. 31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. 33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. 34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Mark 8:22-38

People want to be seen, heard, and at the forefront of what’s going on. He’d just gotten healed; a miraculous thing. When Jesus asked His disciples who do men say I am, they gave various answers.

Now, who do men say you are? Who do men and women, leaders, children, people around you say you are? Is your walk indicative of who they say you are? You want them to know you by your walk, not by your attitude or character, because the character may be flawed. But in your walk in Christ you’re trying to become unflawed. When you look at modern day language, Christ was asking what the talk about town was. They answered John the Baptist? Why? Because he went around doing the same things John did. But Christ asked His disciples who they thought He was. Peter said He was the Christ. The Lord then taught them that He must suffer many things. Peter rebuked Him, but Jesus rebuked Peter saying “get thee behind me Satan.” When we become a part of the House of God, then we have to realize that when God says things to us, we can’t examine what He says in a carnal mindset. Its just like when He told Nicodemus “you must be born again.” Nicodemus thought that he had to go back into his mother womb again. This is what we do as humans. We self examine with our own carnal mindset. We have to take up our cross and follow Jesus. Christ had to carry His cross which represented the weight of the world and sin on His shoulder. So take up the mess in your life, get rid of it, and follow Jesus fully. Not part-time. There are many part-time Christians, who are only so when its convenient. When you become a light of righteousness to people whom you are around, they feel guilty.

Is anything worth who you are? Some people say that they sold their souls to the Devil. But you can’t give something that isn’t yours. Its just like when Satan tempted Jesus in the dessert. Satan tried to give Him something that was already His. That is what He does to us, to confuse us. People are really drawn in by the falseness of it all; by confusion. They are really carried away by individuals who are deceived; those who want to be important and powerful. Its really funny that we are so drawn into those things. The Bible tells that the love of money is the root of all evil. You’re thought about what you can do with that money will drive you against the principles of God.

Satan never did like you in the first place or love you, because he can’t love or like anything. But he is good at 2 things: deceiving, and lying. He has a tract record. This is what proves it. Throughout all generations all he’s ever done was lie and deceive people. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Forsake the cares of this life and join Jesus Christ. Be drawn into the things of God, His attributes. Don’t be drawn into this world. They want so much and give so little. Christ gives you all and only wants one things from you, that is love.

Let’s Get Deeper in Jesus’ Will for Our Lives

Lets get deeper. Sometimes we go surface. Deep mean you go into the root of the whole thing. Why are you here? When you understand God’s heart, and the fact that He saw your ending before your beginning, and He knew you before you made it here on Earth. For Him to understand and know you, its a special thing. He knows your quarks, He know how your soul was before it came here. You were up in Heaven before you came here to Earth, because you were conceived in Heaven. That is why you should be longing to go home to Heaven.

Have you ever had something happen in your life where you didn’t understand what was going on around you? Have you ever had clarity in your life at one point where you say “wow, I’m here.” Have you ever had an epiphany? It goes beyond that. You’ll have the, I-know-who-I-am moment. I knew who I was and where I was, not location wise, but where I was in my walk. You’ve heard the term crystal clear, yes? Even the word crystal means a solid material whose constituents are arranged in a highly order microscopic structure. Why is that so important? Can you look through walls or ceilings? But if every molecule was operating at the same frequency, then you could look straight through it. When you understand what Christ means to you and you understand what He did for you to get you where you are today, then it should be crystal clear that He loves you, needs you, and that you have a purpose. Because of that fact, where are you now?

People always say they see you, and know all about you, but in reality they don’t. The only one who knows you for who you really are is Christ. If he knows about you and says He loves you, why do you question when He says something to you? He already knows what the response is before you say it. Lets get deeper than that. When you woke up yesterday, He already knew what your plans were for that day. He knew what kind of mindset you’d have while doing it. He knew what your heart was going to think—-every vibration of movement in you—-He knew what would take place. We never can perceive the move of God in our lives, because if we can’t see it, touch it, taste it or smell it, then its not what it is.

I see thing happening in people’s lives; sometimes I see things that I don’t want to see. But when the Lord gives me leave, then I speak about it. I walked into a room where a demon was on a person, but I didn’t call it out. The demon knew I knew it, and everyone around had hatred, anger, selfishness, and that demon was at home. Because demons thrive in confusion. They can’t thrive in structure; they must get out. So it dwells in confusion and mess.

Christ came that we would have life more abundantly. He came that we would be free and delivered from us. Satan has no realm or dominion over you because you’re a Child of God. God came to set the captives—those ruled and captivated by Satan—free. Resist, and he will flee. What is resist mean? To hold back. To let go of that temptation. You know when you’re right in the middle of arguing with someone, and you have one word that will resolve the situation, but really makes it worse. That kind word, leave out of your head, and that harsh word comes. Satan want to tick you off to get you to stumble, and he usually does it before those who are Christians. The Lord is able to determine and interpret the very intents of people’s hearts. People may put on a show before others, but He knows the heart. If you have a deeper relationship with Christ, you wouldn’t be acting crazy like you are today. Most of the time, people tend to follow after the crowd, but not after Christ. The Lord is trying to teach us one thing: to get deeper in Him. Because if we understand Him, then we understand where we are.

Has anyone ever asked you a question, and because you didn’t care for them, know them or like them, to get them out of your space, you pretend as though you agree with them? Sometimes we give people response to something out of fear because we’re afraid that they won’t do what we’ve asked them to do or be where we want them to be. You don’t understand a word they speak, but you’re afraid of their reaction. It takes a lot of self control and disciple to give a person the truth in every case when its put upon you, instead of dancing around the truth. How can you go deeper in Christ when you’re still living a surface life, and still walking a surface walk? Well what’s a deep walk? When your meditation with God is not about you but about Him. Everyone here, including me always go to God and ask Him something to benefit us. But do we ever go to Him and ask how He’s doing, what His heart is? Philippians 4:19 says “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Why do we ask God for stuff? He already knows what you need. If you go through things, you don’t think He knows. When we ask for things, sometimes we ask for the wrong things.

Deeper understanding of who God is and what we need to do to get a better relationship. It takes a heck of a relationship to walk up to bones in a grave and say live and the bones get up. It takes a heck of a relationship that Elijah being dead, when a dead person was thrown on him, that the person lived. Elijah had holiness to the bone, that even his bones emanate the glory of God. Why? Because he had a deeper relationship with Christ. Back then it was the Spirit of God, not the Holy Ghost, that dwelt with men. Christ is a relational type individual. The last thing He did when He left out was he had a relationship with 12 men and 2 women. What does that tell you? He wants a relationship with you. More than just a man wants a relationship with you, who can love you mentally or physically, Jesus can love you to your soul. He wants a relationship with you that you two can talk.

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Colossians 3:9

When you’re in the world, your mindset has a deed behind it. When someone gets on your nerve, or pushed that last button of your emotions, how do you react? Unkindly? How deep is Christ in you? Are you willing to hear the truth from someone?

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Colossians 3:10

It is critical that people be honest with themselves and with others because it is written that there is nothing that is hid that shall not be made known, as in the case of the woman at the well:

And he must needs go through Samaria. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

John 4:4-5

What is Samaria? Its a piece of land in central Canna, the capital of the 10 tribes that revolted against David. These tribes contain two tribes of Israel, Ephraim and Manasseh, which contained a mixed group of ethnic people. The Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans because they were mixed with all manour of foreigners. The Jews were told not to deal with the Samaritans because of this fact, though the Samaritans believed in God.

Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

John 4:6-11

She began to describe a situation in her own life. You have nothing to get the water with and the well is deep…”I’m so caught up in the mess that I’m in and I don’t know how to get out! I’m so worn out and tired in my life.” The thing that she wanted was to dip down, and get the water. The thing that could help was sitting right in front of her that could get that mess out of her life. Christ was telling her that He could give her living water. She was looking physically that there was nothing for her to get the water out of the well.

12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

John 4:12-15

She was still on the outward expression, He was answering the deep in her, calling the deep. He was calling her from out of the deep, to fill the soul. But she keep referring to a physical well.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. 17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: 18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. 19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. 27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? 28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, 29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

John 4:16-30

He was deep in her, looking deep, into the depths of her, seeing her real person, seeing the mask that she was wearing, findint out the her well was dry. She had not hope. He was telling her that her well would not go dry, because He would fill it. In our walk, are we deep with Christ like that, or are there still things in our lives we need to clear up? He was answering her spiritually, and she was asking Him naturally, but she caught it after a while. When He told her about herself, she told her whole village that He was the messiah. Its amazing how when the Lord comes into our lives, when we are hurting, asking for healing and restoration of our hearts, where no one understands, that we allow our injuries to be a burden to us. We don’t cast our cares on Jesus who cares for us. He won’t put anymore on us than we can bear without giving us a way of escape. He will show you the door. The question is do you want to take the door, or sit there and fight?

Its not easy facing who you really are. This woman at the well had issues, issues like a lot of us do. Jesus was sitting on the well, and telling her give Me water. She was dry inside, and in other words, Jesus was saying, give Me some life. But she had no life in her. She was telling Him about herself, not realizing she was talking about herself. She had nothing to pull out of herself. Its deep. In other words her hurt, pain and anguish was deep, and she had nothing to pull that deep thing that caused it out. So that is when the Lord said, He’d give her water that will never run dry, settling the issue that cause her hardship. She needed Him to fill her up to bring that mess out that was causing her to be what she was.

Christ is telling us that today too. The well is Him. He will never run dry. The main thing is Christ is asking for a deeper relationship. It goes beyond the normal surface relationship. You know the way to let the Lord know that you want a closer walk with Him? You’ll turn away from the things that you were doing wrong that cause Him to hurt. Change your life because you don’t like the bad things you do. You let this and that go, then the Lord will pursue you. You’ll be so tight with Him, that when someone sees you, they’ll see Him.

31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. 32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. 38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. 39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. 40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. 41 And many more believed because of his own word; 42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee. 44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country. 45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast. 46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. 48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. 49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. 50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. 52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. 54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

John 4:31-54

We’re all constantly getting water, getting fed, and He says the harvest is ripe, but where are the labours? They’re all inside getting fed. You can’t be wounded all the time. We tend to take the Word of God for granted, because we’re under Grace and Truth, and not under the Law and we tend to think we can do whatever we want. But He says He is God and changes not. If He says we shouldn’t kill, it means we should not kill. Our relationship with Christ has to be deeper than it has been. You don’t want a surface relationship. How do you know when you have a surface relationship with Jesus? By their fruit, they’re impatient, not kind, rude. You don’t know if they’re on a walk or journey. If you’re on a journey, your trying to discover. If you’re on a walk you know where you’re going. Those on a journey don’t have a relationship with Him, but the people on a walk do because they know where they are going. If you’re on a journey you’re out to discover something, but when you’re on a walk you know where you’re going. For the Children of God, we should know what our walk is and be secure in it. The problem with the Church today is that they are on a journey; a journey of discovery of who Jesus is—what He wants from us. A lot of us don’t know where we fit in, so we’re on journey.

We should play closer attention to all that God has for us in our walk, doing what He says, when He says, how He says, what time He says, and where He says. At all times be truthful with Jesus, because He knows already, and also be truthful with others too. The Bible says to stop living to gain what is in this world and tell the truth.

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Ephesians 4:25
